BikeOrbit 2.0 install guide

How to Install BikeOrbit 2.0

Install your comfort saddle in minutes using basic tools. Follow these steps to remove your old saddle, attach BikeOrbit 2.0 securely, adjust the fit, and check everything before your first ride.

10–15 min Typical install time
Basic tools Allen key or wrench
Most bikes Standard seat posts

Before you start: make sure your bike is stable, clean around the seat post, and do not ride until the saddle is tightened securely.

Most bikes only need a 5mm or 6mm Allen key. Some seat clamps may use a standard wrench instead. Keep a clean cloth nearby and check your old saddle clamp before removing it.

Optional measuring tape for saddle height

Step-by-Step Installation

Go slowly, tighten evenly, and adjust the saddle angle before your first full ride. A small adjustment can make a big difference in comfort.

1 Install Step

Prepare Your Bike

Place your bike on a flat, stable surface. If you have a bike stand, use it. If not, lean the bike safely against a wall so it will not roll or fall while you work. Wipe around the seat post and clamp area so you can clearly see the bolt and bracket.

Start with a stable bike.

2 Install Step

Loosen the Old Saddle

Find the bolt or bolts under your current saddle. Use the correct Allen key or wrench to loosen the clamp. You usually do not need to remove the bolt completely. Loosen it enough so the saddle rails can slide out of the seat post clamp.

Keep the bolt and clamp parts together.

3 Install Step

Remove the Current Seat

Slide the old saddle out of the clamp and set it aside. Look at how the rails were sitting inside the clamp, because BikeOrbit 2.0 will install in the same general position. Check that the clamp pieces are aligned and not upside down before placing the new saddle.

Notice how the old rails were positioned.

4 Install Step

Position BikeOrbit 2.0

Place the BikeOrbit 2.0 saddle rails into the seat post clamp. Center the rails between the clamp plates and make sure both sides are seated evenly. The wider rear support should face the back of the bike and the front nose of the saddle should point straight forward.

Center the rails before tightening.

5 Install Step

Tighten the Clamp Securely

Begin tightening the bolt slowly. Keep the saddle straight as you tighten so it does not twist to one side. If your clamp has two bolts, tighten them gradually and evenly. Do not overtighten to the point of damaging the clamp, but make sure the saddle cannot slide or tilt.

Tighten evenly and check stability.

6 Install Step

Set the Saddle Height

Sit on the bike and check your leg position. Your knee should have a slight bend when the pedal is at the bottom of the stroke. If the seat feels too high or too low, adjust the seat post height before taking a full ride.

A slight knee bend is usually best.

7 Install Step

Adjust the Angle for Comfort

Start with the saddle close to level. If you feel pressure at the front, slightly lower the nose. If you feel like you are sliding forward, raise the nose slightly. Make small changes only, then test again. Small angle adjustments can improve comfort a lot.

Small adjustments work best.

8 Install Step

Test Ride and Re-Check

Take a short, slow test ride before going on a longer route. Listen for movement, check that the saddle stays straight, and make sure it feels secure. After your first ride, re-check the clamp bolt because new saddle installations can settle slightly.

Re-tighten after the first ride if needed.

Final Safety Check Before Riding

Before you ride, press down on the saddle, move it side to side, and confirm it does not tilt, slide, or twist. If anything feels loose, stop and tighten the clamp again.

Saddle does not move when pushed
Clamp bolts are tightened evenly
Seat height feels natural
Rear light is visible and secure
